Position:

Systems Analyst/Administrator (Job Code: 1005)

Duties:

Responsible for the installation, configuration and migration of Unix and Linux operating systems; support operating system cloning using SystemImager; create Golden client and copy the image of golden client at system image server; install new operating systems using system image of Golden client; support the installation of packages and patches; rescan the storages on newly installed servers; work with the application team to start applications and resolve any issues; support the troubleshooting of networking issues after migration; responsible for the installation, configuration and remediation of various security software; writing Shell and Perl Scripting for automation of jobs; perform migration and troubleshooting of Veritas Cluster; support Disk and File system management through Logical Volume Manager including GFS (Global File system); analyze user requirements; propose alternative solutions in setting up local area networks and maintain existing networks; support the installation, configuration and support for Redhat Satellite Servers; oversee Redhat Satellite Server for upgrading and patching Linux Servers; manage users accounts for the team access for Redhat Satellite Servers; build channels and push packages to master Redhat Satellite Server; responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software and configuration problems for various protocols and topologies; utilize Veritas File System, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, Oracle, DB2, UDB, Redhat Satellite Server, Linux, Blade Server, AIX, Solaris and SUN Enterprise to perform assigned duties; analyze, review and alter existing network to increase operational efficiency or adapt to new requirement.; support and administer various network infrastructure components to ensure uptime and reliability; routine administrative tasks, like troubleshooting and correcting problems in the existing network; and oversee processes to ensure product release, applications and corporate block point cycles are synchronized.

Salary:

$98,883 per year

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education - Bachelor - Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
* Training - None
* Experience - Five (5) years in the position above or in a related occupation.
* Other Requirements - Experience must include use of Veritas File System, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, Oracle, DB2, UDB, Redhat Satellite Server, Linux, Blade Server, AIX, Solaris and SUN Enterprise. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
